Jean is a Shona native from Harare- Zimbabwe but, has been living in Germany since 2013 after being awarded a scholarship in Public Policy and Good Governance by the German Academic Foreign Exchange Service (DAAD). As a result, she holds an M.A. in Public Economics, Law and Politics (P.E.L.P), Leuphana University. In addition, she holds a B.A. double major in International Relations & Organizational Psychology, granted by the University of the Witwatersrand South Africa. It is also there, where Jean was awarded a Certificate of First Class for Psychological Perspectives in Human Rights & Social Justice.
With 8 years of experience volunteering and working with leading global organizations such as UNICEF, Rotary International, and Berlitz Deutschland; Jean currently sits on the Executive Board of the African Youth Abroad Empowerment (AYAE) Berlin, where she spends her time advocating African recognition and development in the diaspora. Through S.H.E., she wants to propel equity in policymaking and advocate equality in women’s health and social issues.
